NFL POWER RANKINGS-2021
1. TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS​​
Simple. Super Bowl champs return ALL 22 starters and had a good draft.

2. BUFFALO BILLS
Josh Allen is a beast and this team has talent everywhere. Are they ready to take the next step?
​
3. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
I know! Chiefs at 3? There has only been one team in the history of the NFL to go to 3 straight Super Bowls. Not sure if even having Patrick Mahomes at QB can solve that. Takes a lot of good and a lot of luck.

4. GREEN BAY PACKERS
This, of course, depends on Aaron Rodgers being the QB. If not, they may just drop a few spots. Very good roster overall, though.

5. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
Niners, when healthy, have one of the best rosters in the league. And, arguably one of the best offensive coaches as well.
​
6. L.A. RAMS
The Rams have a very good roster and upgraded big time at QB with Matt Stafford. And, Sean McVay is a great offensive coach.
​
7. BALTIMORE RAVENS
Part of me doesn't want to put the Ravens this high. But, they have a proven record of good coaching and good team building. For me, Lamar Jackson has to take that next step in the passing game. Not sure if he can.

8. CLEVELAND BROWNS
The Browns at 8?! My psyche has a hard time with this! But, they have a very good roster and good coaching. Me thinks Baker may limit their ceiling, though.

9. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
Too high for the Pats? Nope. Belichick will be extra motivated and their defense will be much better with all of the opt out players returning. My only question is when will Mac Jones replace awful Cam Newton?

10. DALLAS COWBOYS
Yes. The Cowboys at 10! As long as the offense stays somewhat healthy, they will score at will. And, if the defense just improves to average they will win a lot of games. With a strong defensive draft and a new D coordinator that shouldn't be a problem.
​
11. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
Seahawks had a bad draft and there was (is?) an internal rift between Russell Wilson and the front office/coach. If all is well with the internal issues they could definitely climb higher in the rankings.

12. L.A. CHARGERS
I really like their roster and their QB. And, they had a really good draft. Probably would have ranked higher if we knew more about the head coach. Can Brandon Staley coach?

13. ARIZONA CARDINALS
While I like Kyler Murray, and they added some big name veterans, with health concerns, they still are missing a few pieces to contend in such a difficult division. Kingsbury needs to prove he belongs this season.
​
14. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
Colts have a loaded roster and a good coaching staff. It all comes down to Carson Wentz. If he returns to his MVP level play this could be a top 5 team.
​
15. WASHINGTON FOOTBALL TEAM
Washington has a very strong defense and a good coach in Ron Rivera. They also have some good offensive pieces, but, when will they get a real QB?
​
16. MIAMI DOLPHINS
Flores is a solid coach and the roster has improved over the last couple of seasons. For the Dolphins if all comes down to Tua and how good of a QB he can be.
​
17. MINNESOTA VIKINGS
The Vikings improved their O-line in the draft and if their defense can improve, which with Mike Zimmer coaching that is a good bet, they could definitely be a playoff team.
​
18. TENNESSEE TITANS
Good team and coach, but looks to me like the league is figuring out how to at least slow down Derrick Henry when it counts. And Titans are limited at QB.
​
19. DENVER BRONCOS
Really like the Broncos roster except for QB and head coach. That's enough to put them at 19.
​
20. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
Saints have been winning with smoke and mirrors even with Drew Brees at QB the last couple of seasons. Personally, I am not sold on Winston or Hill to run the offense on a high level. And some of their defensive talent left via free agency or is aging.
​
21. ATLANTA FALCONS
Falcons offense could be really good and I like their new head coach. They still lack talent on the defensive side, but if they can coach them up a little, the Falcons could rise up.
​
22. PITTSBURGH STEELERS
I have the Steelers lower than most. I think Big Ben is done and their are holes on the roster. But, I do think Mike Tomlin is a good coach and that could raise their stock.
​
23. NEW YORK GIANTS
I am not as high on the Giants as other so-called experts. Daniel Jones is a turnover machine and Barkley can't stay healthy. That said, I do like their head coach and the defense should be pretty good.
​
24. CINCINNATI BENGALS
I have the Bengals a little higher than most. I believe their offense could be really good if Joe Burrow is healthy. The defense will be their main issue.
​
25. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
I think the Jags could be decent this year. They have good pieces on offense and Lawrence is a stud. The defense lacks talent and we need to see how Urban Meyer translates to the pro game.
​
26. CHICAGO BEARS
I am not as high on the Bears as the so-called experts. Their defense has been slipping the last couple of seasons and I am not sold on their head coach. Although, I love Justin Fields and if he is ready to play soon, or at least early in the season, they could move up.
​
27. LAS VEGAS RAIDERS
I like Derek Carr and their is some talent on the roster. Other than that, the O-line is a mess and the defense has no identity. Gruden's return to the Raiders has not been a success.
​
28. CAROLINA PANTHERS
The Panthers are building a good roster and I like their head coach. Everything for this team relies on Sam Darnold and his play at QB.
​
29. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
This roster and head coaching is a mess. I love Devonta Smith but he needs a real QB to get him the ball. Jalen Hurts ain't it. Why not draft a QB?
​
30. NEW YORK JETS
The Jets still need a lot on the roster and they have a rookie head coach in a very well coached division. Also, I was not as high on Zach Wilson as most others. He has skill, but I see some bust potential in this situation.
​
31.DETROIT LIONS
I like what the Lions did in the draft and Jared Goff is not an awful QB. But, they have a long way to go to build a good roster and a winning culture. We'll see about Dan Campbell as head coach.
​
32. HOUSTON TEXANS
Bad roster. Big question mark at head coach. Bad ownership. The Deshaun Watson fiasco. Wow. Who is the number one pick next year?
